Ashforth held its 12th Annual Environmental Awareness Week event to promote sustainability, conservation, and awareness at its owned and managed buildings during the week of April 17-21. The event is always held during the week of Earth Day.
Through Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs), Ashforth’s three owned properties in CT – 3001 Stamford Square and 707 Summer Street in Stamford and Greenwich Plaza in Greenwich – now purchase 50% of their electricity generated from renewable resources.
As part of the process of assessing the District’s current building performance relative to the 2030 goals of building energy and water use, all members receive one year of WegoWise’s energy benchmarking service.
Ashforth partnered with KPMG to observe Earth Day 2015 by sponsoring a spring cleanup project at Stamford’s Mill River Park & Greenway for the 4th consecutive year.
