During the holiday season, Ashforth holds its annual Donation Days program at three of its owned and managed properties in Connecticut: 707 Summer Street, 3001 Stamford Square, and Greenwich Plaza. The events feature on-site food and gift collection drives benefiting the Food Bank of Lower Fairfield County and Kids Helping Kids.
The two-week-long Food Drive was held in November and tenants generously donated to the event, contributing a successful haul of non-perishable food. All who donated to the drive entered into a drawing for a chance to win gift cards. The Food Bank of Lower Fairfield County distributes nutritious food to nearly 90 nonprofits that serve the food insecure in Lower Fairfield County.
The Gift Drive collected new and very gently used items for kids and adults including craft supplies, sports and gym equipment, electronics, tools and automotive supplies, home décor, kitchen items, jewelry, and beauty products. These gifts are being donated to the Kids Helping Kids pop-up holiday store located at The Boys and Girls Club of Stamford. Local children are invited to shop for holiday presents for their family members at no cost. Kids Helping Kids is an organization in Stamford, CT that helps middle and high school students develop leadership skills through service projects that benefit low-income children in the community.
Ashforth is grateful for the generosity of its tenants during the Donation Days program. Their support helps to make a difference in the lives of many people in need during the holiday season.
