Each holiday season, Ashforth proudly hosts its annual Donation Days program supporting local Fairfield County nonprofits, at three of its owned and managed properties in Connecticut: 707 Summer Street, 3001 Stamford Square, and Greenwich Plaza. This year’s Donation Days features two on-site collection drives benefiting the Food Bank of Lower Fairfield County and the Pet Animal Welfare Society (PAWS).
The two-week event runs through November 25 and invites all donors to enter a drawing for a chance to win Amazon gift cards.
The Food Drive welcomes donations of pantry items to support those facing food insecurity. Accepted food items include hearty soups, pasta, pasta sauce, peanut butter, jelly, canned chicken, canned tuna, cold cereal, oatmeal, and other non-perishable items. The Food Bank of Lower Fairfield Countydistributes nutritious food to nearly 90 nonprofits that serve the food insecure in Lower Fairfield County.
The Pet Food & Supplies Drive accepts unopened dog and cat food, along with toys, leashes, litter, and more. PAWS, headquartered in Norwalk and serving all of Connecticut, rescues approximately 200 dogs and 500 cats annually, providing shelter, medical care, and socialization until they find permanent homes.
Later this month, Ashforth will host a Toys for Tots Drive benefiting the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve and a Holiday Gift Drive for Kids Helping Kids, supporting their annual Gift of Giving event at the Boys & Girls Club of Stamford.
Ashforth is grateful for the generosity of its tenants during the Donation Days program. The support helps to make a difference in the lives of many people in need during the holiday season.
