As part of the Company’s Wellness initiative, Ashforth introduced its first virtual fitness program “Keep Moving Together”. The program was initiated to encourage employees to stay connected and keep active while most are currently working from home and practicing social distancing. The program is expected to continue beyond this time.
Ashforth’s Marketing Department created a new dedicated web page for Keep Moving Together where fun and motivating weekly fitness tips, challenges, and group conversations are posted. The web page also allows for and encourages participants to share updates and motivating comments with the group. Several simple and creative fitness challenges will be posted and at the end of some challenges, a drawing will be held for all participants to have a chance to receive a few fun, small recognition gifts. Upon entering the web page, employees who are interested in participating in the program are required to complete a waiver to gain access.
“Keep Moving Together is more than a program or fitness challenge. We’re also a team and a family that will cheer on our employees to help keep them motivated while working to achieve their wellness goals,” said Joanna Sicuranza, Manager of Human Resources and Administration of The Ashforth Company and coordinator of Ashforth’s Wellness program.
Since launching its wellness program in 2012, Ashforth has promoted wellness by: emailing Ashforth’s Wellness News monthly to employees and posting on its Wellness Board in its community kitchen, supporting fitness goals with gym discounts and walking groups, and encouraging participation in a variety of company-sponsored wellness activities and in yearly health observance events.
