As part of Ashforth’s commitment to the well-being of its tenants, the company hosted an educational presentation and Q&A on anxiety this past September at its owned and managed 3001 Stamford Square property.
The session was presented by Kids in Crisis, a nonprofit providing 24-hour crisis support and mental health services to children and families throughout Fairfield County. The session, “Why Is Everyone So Anxious and What Can We Do About It?”, offered tenants practical guidance on recognizing and managing anxiety at work and at home.
Kids In Crisis clinicians, Ellen Brezovsky, LCSW and Corina Restrepo, LCSW, led the session, covering signs and symptoms of anxiety in children and adults, communication strategies, mindfulness and calming techniques, and when to seek professional support.
Eighteen guests attended the lunchtime session, in person and remotely. Ashforth provided a complimentary lunch.
