Amel Belahi has been with A.P. Construction since February 2003. After sixteen years of hard work and devotion to the Company, she continues to conquer any and all challenges set before her. She started as Office Assistant and immediate set out to define new ways to organize the office. When she was promoted to Office Manager, she again set new definitions for the way things should be accomplished. She was then given the accounts payable task and, to be clear, that is no small feat since APC has grown from $60MM per year to $100MM per year. Then she was promoted to Project Accountant, while still maintaining her role as Accounts Payable Administrator. This year she handled three of our major projects totaling $50.6MM. She is excellent at training new hires with her delightful and positive attitude. No matter how much work is put upon her, she stays on task and is willing to take on more. She can be relied on in any situation to step up and take charge. She is a leader when it comes to organization and meeting deadlines, and she has a strong work ethic and clearly defines the Operating Principles of The Ashforth Company with her commitment, quality of work, teamwork and leadership all with integrity and fairness. We are pleased to honor her with the 2019 Albert B. Ashforth Employee of the Year.

NOMINEES

Glenn Ritch of Albert B. Ashforth Inc. and Elio Campiolo of The Ashforth Company were recognized as nominees of the 2019 Albert B. Ashforth Employee of the Year Award for outstanding performance, service and commitment.

Elio Campiolo joined the Company in 2016. Over the past 3-plus years, he has quietly made a positive and productive impact in the Finance & Administration Department. This year, he willingly took on additional accounting work from ABA to help them out during their staffing transition and took over the monthly accounting responsibilities for Greenwich Plaza. He also assisted with other responsibilities in the Finance & Administration Department including creating schedules, calculating loan principal escrow requirements and pulling together various information on the AQR lease at Greenwich Plaza. In addition to his full-time job responsibilities, he is currently pursuing his graduate degree at Fordham University and attends classes in the evenings. He catches on quickly to new work challenges and quietly focuses on producing quality work. And, he has also become a friend to everyone on the fourth floor at 707. His professional demeanor, wonderful sense of humor and, not to mention his stylish haircuts, make him a pleasure to work with every single day.

Glenn Ritch been an invaluable member of ABA’s Management Services Team since 2012. He is responsible for the day-to-day operations of 7 properties and oversees capital and tenant improvement work at another. 2019 was a very productive year for him as he worked on multiple projects that allowed ABA to collect construction supervision fees and a consulting supervision fee at 100 Field Point Road. And, he was also instrumental in helping A.P. Construction get two construction jobs. Due to his strong relationship with an important client, this year he was responsible for getting ABA two new management assignments totaling over 250,000 square feet – 1 Atlantic Street in Stamford and 440 Wheelers Farm Road in Milford. Every day, he skillfully provides his clients with a high level of real estate experience and knowledge that they have come to rely on. He is extremely dedicated which was never more evident this year after his recent knee replacement surgery, as he continued to work from his hospital bed, the rehab center and home.
