Stamford Downtown Special Services District (DSSD) once again held its Parade Spectacular on Sunday, November 24th. Stamford’s annual holiday balloon parade started twenty-six years ago and has become one of the largest events of its kind in the country, with 14 giant helium balloons floating through Stamford’s Downtown. The parade showcased Stamford’s rich cultural diversity, and drew large crowds, including Stamford residents, spectators from the surrounding region and even nearby states.
As a sponsor of the event, The Ashforth Company handled the Bob the Builder balloon which was held by 22 employees, friends, and family. Rob Nowack of Albert B. Ashforth, Inc. – Management Services, a division of Ashforth, was the team captain. The parade route started at Summer Street and Hoyt Street going South, passed right by The Ashforth Company’s corporate headquarters located at 707 Summer Street. The parade ended at the corner of Atlantic Street and Federal Street.
“The Ashforth Company is delighted to support the Parade Spectacular and the terrific work that DSSD does to make downtown Stamford a desirable, safe and enjoyable destination,” noted Kim DePra, VP, Marketing & Communications for The Ashforth Company.
