Tom Reilly, Chief Engineer with Albert B. Ashforth – Management Services, Inc., was awarded the 2017 Engineer of the Year by The Southern Connecticut Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA). Reilly’s primary focus is the Nyala Farms Corporate Center, a 372,207 sq. ft. facility in Westport CT.

Having been with the property for over 12 years, Tom has dealt with numerous challenges such as an entire crew change to 280,000 sq. ft. of space being demolished and rebuilt. During his time, he has overseen capital projects which include: a new chiller plant, fire alarm system, security system, two freight elevator modernizations and roof replacements totaling approximately 72K sq. ft. for two of the main buildings including a few smaller ones.

While the procurement and management of these capital projects were not his responsibility he was an integral part of the coordination, tenant impact management as well as utility interruptions and shift coverage during the work.

Nyala Farms Corporate Center is the home to one of the largest hedge funds in the world and several other high-profile clients. Tom and his crew have done a terrific job managing the high expectations of these clients.

Paul Ouellette, Senior Property Manager for Albert B. Ashforth, Inc., was also recognized by BOMA as having been a member for 20 years.
