Karyn Ward, Senior Executive Assistant at The Ashforth Company, was honored at the Boys & Girls Club of Stamford’s City Chic Reimagined annual celebration in recognition of her more than 30 years of volunteer leadership and dedicated service to Stamford youth.
For more than 30 years, Karyn has been a driving force behind the Boys & Girls Club of Stamford. Longtime Stamford resident, she began volunteering with the Club in 1994. Over the years, she played an integral role in the growth of City Chic, helping transform the event from a small fundraising dinner into one of the organization’s signature annual celebrations. Her efforts helped increase event attendance from 70 guests to more than 300 and fundraising proceeds from approximately $60,000 to more than $350,000, supporting programs and opportunities for local children and teens.
Known for her hands-on approach, Karyn has contributed to every aspect of the event’s success, from securing auction items and coordinating event details to supporting youth participants and helping create memorable experiences for Club members. Her leadership extends beyond City Chic through her service as a former Board President, current board member, fundraiser, hands-on volunteer, and longtime advocate for the Boys & Girls Club’s mission.
Giving back is a core value at The Ashforth Company. Through corporate citizenship, civic involvement, and employee volunteerism, Ashforth is committed to strengthening the communities where we live and work. We are proud to recognize employees like Karyn whose dedication and service continue to make a meaningful impact in our community.
