Stamford Health held its 30th annual Hope in Motion Walk on Sunday, June 7, at Mill River Park, marking a major milestone for one of Connecticut’s longest-running and largest participatory charity events. This year’s event raised $525,905, bringing the Walk’s 30-year total to more than $19 million in support of cancer patients and their families.
As the founding and presenting sponsor, Ashforth is proud of its 30-year partnership with Stamford Health and the Bennett Cancer Center. Together, the organizations have raised awareness of cancer’s impact on our community while supporting exceptional care close to home through the Bennett Cancer Center.

Led by Team Captains Andrew Martinez, Nick Boyer, and Emily Anderson, Team Ashforth raised an impressive $8,127 this year. 24 employees, friends, and family members proudly joined the team, walking together in support of cancer patients and their families.
Ashforth’s support extends beyond sponsorship. Each year, the company provides a financial contribution, in-kind marketing services, and an employee fundraising team. Over the past 30 years, Ashforth’s combined support has exceeded $1.5 million. During that time, Ashforth employees alone have raised more than $333,000 through team fundraising efforts, demonstrating an extraordinary commitment to the Walk’s mission.
100% of funds raised go directly to sustain quality-of-life programs and services at the Bennett Cancer Center, including transportation to and from treatment, counseling, lunches during chemotherapy, non-medical financial assistance, and post-treatment exercise programs. These services are provided free of charge to patients.
As Stamford Health and the Bennett Cancer Center continue to advance cancer care through new technologies, expanded treatment options, and enhanced patient services, community support remains more important than ever.
