The Ashforth Company along with Indeed and UBS were named by Impact Fairfield County (Impact FFC) as its first Corporate Partners. Impact FFC is a collective giving circle of diverse women, living or working in Fairfield County, CT, dedicated to making impactful change in the community by providing significant and transformational philanthropic investments to local non-profits. Impact FFC women strive to reach the underserved and improve the lives of those in our community.

Each company’s sponsored employees became full members of Impact FFC which provides the opportunity to learn about social issues in the local community at a deeper level, network with 250+ other members, give back at volunteer events, and develop project assessment, financial analysis, and social impact strategy skills.

Katharine Lumby, Co-President of Impact FFC said, “We are thrilled to have these three great organizations join us in our first year of launching the Corporate Partnership Program. We developed this program with the hope of increasing local companies’ awareness of and involvement in issues facing many people right here in Fairfield County, giving more women an opportunity to be a part of creating local change, and making an even larger impact in our community. These founding organizations will help guide us as we continue to expand this program for years to come.”

“The Ashforth Company is pleased to be a new Corporate Partner with Impact Fairfield County and honored to support the great women involved in making a difference with our local nonprofits. We’re excited that several women at Ashforth are now involved and are giving back and gaining skills that will help them grow as individuals themselves and help Impact grow as an organization,” said Darrell Harvey, Executive Chairman of The Ashforth Company.

Ashforth employees Karyn Ward, Sandra Funk, Lisa Horvath, and Kim DePra were the first to participate and were involved as members of one of the several Grant Review committees.

“Given everyone’s busy schedules, our group of Ashforth women have appreciated and been particularly impressed with how highly organized and thoughtful the Impact team has been in the overall process,” said Sandra Funk, Senior Vice President, Diversified Investments for The Ashforth Company.

2022 was a record year for Impact FFC, with its greatest number of members and funds distributed since inception. In its seventh year of investing to transform the lives of Fairfield County’s neediest, Impact FFC has reached $1.6 million in total grant funding.

This year there were two $100,000 Impact FFC Grant winners: New Reach, Inc. for ‘Stable Families Program’ and nOURish BRIDGEPORT, Inc for ‘Nourish Indoor Hydroponic Farm’. These two organizations each received an additional $1,000 general operating grant. Impact’s three finalists each received a $20,000 general operating grant: Children’s Learning Centers of Fairfield County, Inc., Future 5, and Wakeman Boys & Girls Club. All were honored at Impact FC’s annual meeting event in May. For more information on these nonprofits and their programs visit www.impactffc.org/2022.
