The Ashforth Company once again held a gift collection drive at three of its owned and managed properties supporting the Kids Helping Kids ninth annual Gift of Giving event. Tenants from 707 Summer Street, 3001 Stamford Square, and Greenwich Plaza donated many gently used and new gifts toward the event. Over xxx gifts were collected.
The annual Gift of Giving project started in 2013 with a volunteer’s sentiment that there is no better feeling than giving someone a present they adore. Each year the event provides roughly 400+ local kids the opportunity to shop free of charge for holiday gifts for their loved ones. This year’s event will be on Saturday, December 4th from 9am-3pm at the Boys & Girls Club of Stamford. In 2020, over 500 children attended the special holiday pop-up store.
KHK’s mission is to develop leadership skills through youth-led service projects for middle and school students across the country. All projects begin with an idea from one of the kids and are then designed, managed, and led by a group of KHK kids that facilitate the project. KHK now has over 250 kids from 51 different schools involved in one or more projects. Every project is youth-inspired and is developed and led by a group of KHK kids.
