Stamford Health held its annual Hope in Motion Walk event on Sunday, June 9 at Mill River Park. For the past 29 years the event has exceeded $18 Million. This year’s event raised $463,073.
As the founding and presenting sponsor, Ashforth has partnered with Stamford Health in part to bring awareness to how much cancer has affected the lives of people in the community and to reach out to the community to let people know what an outstanding, local cancer center we have available to us.
Ashforth annually provides a financial contribution, a fundraising team, and in-kind marketing services. Over the past 29 years, this total has exceeded $1.5 million.
Led by Team Captains Andrew Martinez, Nick Boyer, Sarah Waterbury, and Alexa DiBuono, Ashforth exceeded its goal of $5,000 and has raised an impressive $8,053. 36 employees, friends, and family members have joined the team, surpassing the goal of 30 members.
The team’s success is a result of individual fundraising and employees participating in creative mini events from a Valentine’s Day Bake Sale to a March Madness 50/50 office pool and a St. Patrick’s Day Potluck Lunch.
The Ashforth Company is proud that Hope in Motion is one of Connecticut’s longest running and largest participatory charity events. 100% of the funds raised through Hope in Motion go directly to sustain quality-of-life programs and services at Stamford Health’s Bennett Cancer Center; these services are all provided free of charge to the patients.
