The Ashforth Company announced that O’Connor Davies LLP, a regional Certified Public Accounting and consulting firm, has chosen 3001 Stamford Square, a building developed, owned and managed by Ashforth, for its new Stamford, CT office location.
Moving approximately 40 employees from its current 62 Southfield Ave. Stamford, CT location, O’Connor Davies will occupy 11,000 square feet of space on the fifth floor of the building located at 3001 Summer Street. O’Connor Davies includes more than 500 professionals led by 84 Partners in seven offices located in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.
“We are thrilled that O’Connor Davies, another outstanding company and highly regarded firm in the Stamford community, will be joining our high caliber tenant roster at our 3001 building,” said Darrell Harvey, co-CEO of The Ashforth Company.
Leasing momentum continues with O’Connor Davies joining Pitney Bowes which signed a lease in the beginning of March for approximately 74,000 square feet on the top two floors of the building, and moved in last summer.
Ashforth recently completed a dramatic, multi-million dollar renovation of 3001 Stamford Square at the end of 2012. The property consists of 290,000 square feet of office space on seven floors with four levels of underground parking. The renovation features a modern lobby, full-service café, state-of-the-art fitness center and a private shuttle to and from the Stamford train station.
“We were impressed by the quality of the building at 3001 Summer Street and the amenities it has to offer. The location is ideal for our continued growth in southwestern Connecticut. The Ashforth Company has a great reputation in the community and we are looking forward to joining their portfolio of A-list tenants,” said Bruce Blasnik, partner-in-charge of the Stamford, CT office of O’Connor Davies, LLP.
“The O’Connor Davies and Pitney Bowes leases confirm our belief that with our recent extensive improvements, the building’s central location, premier amenities and highly responsive on-site management, tenants would continue to find 3001 very attractive in today’s changing work environment,” said Richard Battista, executive vice president of The Ashforth Company.
Monique Delerme of Corporate Design LLC was Ashforth’s architect working on the O’Connor Davies space. A.P. Construction Company, Ashforth’s construction division, completed the renovation.
O’Connor Davies joins current 3001 Stamford Square tenants: KPMG, Genworth, Navigators and Pitney Bowes.
Ed Tonnessen, managing director of JLL, the exclusive leasing agent for 3001 Stamford Square and George Walker, senior vice president of JLL represented Ashforth. Kevin McCarthy of CBRE represented the tenant.
Designed by Roger Ferris + Partners of Westport, Connecticut, the extensive 3001 improvements designed to LEED standards include a striking, new modern lobby, state-of-the-art elevators, new bathrooms and tenant common areas, a new environmentally friendly and energy efficient HVAC system, enhanced landscaping, new property identity and directional signage, and contemporary facade enhancements. New amenities along with private shuttle service to and from the Stamford Train Station are a full-service café, a modern, state-of-the-art fitness facility and an electric vehicle charging station.
