Stamford Downtown Special Services District (DSSD) held its annual Parade Spectacular on Sunday, November 23rd, filling the streets with excitement as 15 giant helium balloons floated high above Stamford’s Downtown. The parade, which started over thirty years ago, has grown into one of the largest events of its kind in the country, showcasing Stamford’s rich cultural diversity and drawing large crowds including Stamford residents, spectators from the surrounding region, and even nearby states

The Ashforth Company, a proud long-time sponsor of the event, once again took part by handling the beloved Bumble the Abominable Snowman balloon. Nick Boyer of Albert B. Ashforth, Inc. – Management Services, a division of Ashforth, returned as team captain for the fourth year and led the team of 36 employees, friends, and family members handling the balloon. The parade route started at Summer Street and Hoyt Street and went south passing right by Ashforth’s corporate headquarters at 707 Summer Street.

“The Parade Spectacular is more than a celebration—it’s a moment when our community comes together in joy and pride. Seeing families, friends, and neighbors gathered along the streets reminds us why Stamford is such a vibrant place to live and work. Ashforth is honored to support this tradition and to partner with DSSD,” said Kim DePra, VP and Director of Marketing & Communications for The Ashforth Company.
