ASHFORTH EMPLOYEE OF THE YEAR

For Outstanding Performance, Service and Commitment

Andrew Martinez joined The Ashforth Company’s marketing department in 2013. Over the past 5 years, he has truly developed his skills and talents to the next level and has created great working relationships throughout the Company and in the community. He is solution-oriented and always takes a problem solving approach to dealing with issues and completing projects. He’ll take on anything and he’s known for saying “teamwork makes the dream work!” His accomplishments in 2018 include organizing our Hope in Motion Walk/Run Team and managing all of the mini events to support the Ashforth Team’s fundraising efforts. This year, Ashforth proudly raised over $20,000 in contributions; the second highest corporate fundraising team. And, after a 2 year hiatus, he successfully organized the Company’s Client Appreciation Golf Outing. His professional approach and positive demeanor, combined with his fun-loving energy, make him a pleasure to work with every day. We are delighted to honor him with the 2018 Albert B. Ashforth Employee of the Year.

Each year at The Ashforth Company’s annual holiday party, the company honors the Employee of the Year nominees and recognizes those celebrating 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30+ years of services with Company. The Albert B. Ashforth Employee of the Year Award recipient receives an all-expenses paid, four day, three night vacation for two in Bermuda. The nominees received $500. Those recognized for their years of service receive special gifts.

NOMINEES

Demetri Seferidis of A.P. Construction was recognized as a nominee of the 2018 Albert B. Ashforth Employee of the Year Award for outstanding performance, service and commitment.

Demetri Seferidis has been with A.P. Construction since September 2017. While learning the Company’s systems and working on projects at Indeed, he expressed his desire to take on additional work. With his willingness to take on more, he was assigned to the Greenwich Historical Society for a complicated renovation of the historic Toby House and the construction of their new archives building. In May, APC started a fast paced renovation of the former Paul Tudor Jones office building for Brunswick School and he was the Project Manager who led the team to complete the project ahead of schedule. After completing several ongoing projects at AQR, in September he started fitting out the fourth floor of AQR at One Greenwich Plaza, which is a complicated project in the construction, the time line, and the individuals involved in all the approvals.
