The Ashforth Company held its annual Thanksgiving Food Drive benefiting the Food Bank of Lower Fairfield County at several of its owned and managed properties throughout Connecticut and New York. Tenants who donated to the two-week long drive were given an entry into a drawing for a chance to win a holiday gift card.
“Giving back to the community and to those less fortunate are what the holidays are about,” said Andrew Martinez, Marketing Project Manager for The Ashforth Company who helped organize the drive. “It’s truly a remarkable sight how much support our tenants offer during these drives,” added Martinez.
Donations collected from this year’s drive included canned foods, breakfast cereals, pasta, beans, juices, rice, and many other food items.
The Food Bank of Lower Fairfield County is an organization that provides food for over 200,000 individuals in lower Fairfield County through approximately 85 non-profits agencies as programs serving people in need.
