On Thursday, March 14, 2013 Michelle took a stand against cancer by volunteering to shave her head in support of the St. Baldrick’s Foundation. Thanks to her family and friends, Michelle surpassed her goal and was able to raise $1,500 for the cause. Michelle along with her husband Tom and 30 others represented team ‘Bradfords IX’ while having their heads shaved at Bradford’s Grill & Tavern in Stamford, CT.
Michelle answered the call to be a hero when her friend Tony, the owner of Bradford’s Grill and Tavern gave her a pamphlet with information about the event. Once she started reading about the cause and the children, she immediately knew she wanted to participate.
To date, St. Baldrick’s Foundation volunteers have made it possible to fund more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization besides the U.S. Government.
We at The Ashforth Company couldn’t be more proud of Michelle and want to thank her for her commitment to the community and giving back in such a big way.
