Alexa DiBuono, Director of Controls & Project Accountant with A.P. Construction, exemplifies exceptional commitment to both her work and her community. Her dedication to giving back is contagious, inspiring those around her to make a positive impact.

Every September, Alexa partners with her uncle to organize the Dynasty Golf Tournament, benefiting a local family facing hardship. The annual event provides a lifeline for individuals dealing with unfortunate circumstances, including families battling cancer or mourning the loss of a loved one. The Stokes family, last year’s beneficiaries, received the funds raised, providing a much-needed financial cushion for their ongoing medical expenses as they bravely fight their son’s cancer battle. Alexa goes above and beyond by not only coordinating the event but also selling raffle tickets and merchandise, and even participating as a player. Her commitment to her community extends beyond this annual event, as she regularly donates essential items like clothing and housewares to the Veterans of America.

Outside of her personal volunteer efforts, Alexa serves as a team captain for Ashforth’s Hope in Motion team, alongside Nick Boyer (ABA Management Services), Sarah Waterbury, and Andrew Martinez (The Ashforth Company). In 2023, Alexa helped raise an impressive $5,891 for the Walk, which supports free quality-of-life programs and services for patients at Stamford Health’s Bennett Cancer Center. In 2024, the team has raised over $8,003 to date.

Alexa’s dedication does not stop there. She actively participates in the Women of Ashforth (WOAH) group, fostering connections and supporting professional development for Ashforth’s women. Additionally, she takes part in Ashforth’s 707 Summer Street building’s collection drives throughout the year, benefiting various local nonprofits. These drives support causes like providing food for the underprivileged (The Foodbank of Lower Fairfield County), holiday gifts for children in need (Kids Helping Kids), and winter clothing for those facing hardship (Person-to-Person).

“Giving back to the community isn’t just about grand gestures; it’s about finding ways to make a difference, big or small. Whether it’s raising money for a local family or donating items to veterans, every contribution adds up. I’m fortunate to work at a company that values volunteerism, and together, we can create a positive impact on those around us,” Alexa said.

The Ashforth Company encourages and supports all employees’ volunteer efforts and is proud to have Alexa as a dedicated employee and volunteer.
