During the holiday season, The Ashforth Company held its annual Donation Days program at several of its owned and managed properties in Connecticut and New York. The two-week-long event featured a combination of onsite collection drives including a Thanksgiving Food Drive benefiting The Foodbank of Lower Fairfield County, a Coat Drive benefiting Person to Person and a Cold Weather Accessory drive for older adults benefiting SilverSource.

  • Thanksgiving Food Drive – Several bags of food including peanut butter, grape jelly, breakfast cereals, fruit cups, pasta, beans, juices, rice, and many other food items were collected and donated to the Food Bank of Lower Fairfield County. The Food Bank of Lower Fairfield County is an organization that provides food to nearly 90 non-profit agencies and programs that serve low-income people in the lower Fairfield area.
  • Coat Drive – Three large bags of new and gently used coats collected and donated to Person to Person (P2P). P2P’s mission is to provide individuals and families with assistance for basic needs to overcome daily challenges and access to resources to improve their lives. P2P helps all individuals in lower Fairfield County service area, including Darien, New Canaan, Norwalk, Stamford, Weston, Westport, and Wilton.
  • Caring Connections – several new cold-weather accessories were collected and donated to SilverSource’s Caring Connection program.
