Dimitri Seferidis is one of A.P. Construction’s most dedicated employees and exemplifies all our company values. His expertise in the preconstruction phase is the foundation of our profitability and risk mitigation. Dimitri delivers the crucial planning, scheduling, and operational setup that determine a project’s long term success, making him a key contributor to overall firm performance. He serves as a vital internal resource while actively mentoring junior staff, operating with dignity and perseverance, and consistently setting a high bar for internal commitment. His ability to provide clients with the confidence and the knowledge to allow them to make educated decisions and show the professionalism of a leader within A.P. Construction is exemplary. Dimitri’s success and drive are evident in challenging projects such as Troutbeck, Benedict Court, and the Maritime Aquarium. Lisa Horvath and Jose Veliz of Albert B. Ashforth, Inc. were recognized as nominees for the 2025 Albert B. Ashforth Employee of the Year Award for outstanding performance, service and commitment.
Lisa Horvath has been with ABA’s Management Services since 1990 and is a cornerstone of the Management Services team. Her commitment and drive ensure the department functions efficiently and cost‑effectively. Lisa oversees the Property Management accounting department, working closely with senior leadership, property managers, and owners. She establishes new accounting guidelines and procedures, prepares departmental budgets, and partners with business development to generate new opportunities.
During a challenging year, Lisa provided critical direction by preparing detailed spreadsheets that guided departmental decisions. Her dedication extends beyond daily responsibilities; she actively supports colleagues and participates in volunteer opportunities, including five years with Impact Fairfield County. Lisa’s tireless work ethic and leadership have been instrumental to our success. We are proud to nominate her for the 2025 Albert B. Ashforth Employee of the Year award.
Jose Veliz joined ABA’s Management Services team in 2024 and quickly established himself as a trusted and valued member of the organization. He has demonstrated remarkable dedication, technical expertise, and initiative that have strengthened operations and team morale. Jose immersed himself in the complexities of commercial office buildings, becoming a reliable resource for the engineering team and tenants alike. His calm, professional demeanor, and ability to build strong tenant relationships have earned him widespread respect.
What sets Jose apart is his self‑motivation and initiative. He often identifies and tackles tasks before being asked, including repairing cooling tower basins to defer a costly replacement, and documenting structural repairs in the parking garage. He diligently updates work orders with clear comments, ensuring projects are completed thoroughly and efficiently. We are pleased to nominate Jose Veliz for the 2025 Albert B. Ashforth Employee of the Year.
