What a difference a year makes!

Cheryl’s fitness journey began a year ago when she decided to take control of her health. She quickly committed to getting in shape and worked tirelessly to find a program that worked for her. Today, she is down 15 pounds and nine inches. Her story is an inspiration for all as it’s never too late to get started.

What was your fitness motivation?

I wanted to get in shape, my clothes weren’t fitting and I didn’t feel as good as I knew I could/should.  I purchased a home fitness program and was further motivated when I found out that several people I know owned the program and never completed it.  I decided that, no matter what, I was going to complete the program!

Did you try other fitness/diet programs before finding the one that worked for you?

I tried several programs before finding the best one for me. I found other workouts to be “un-motivating and boring” and wasn’t getting the results I wanted. The key to my success lies in the fact that I never gave up.

What is your biggest accomplishment?

The first day of the program, I honestly thought I would have a heart attack.  I was more out of shape than I thought.  With continued exercise and weight loss, I was able to complete the program and felt stronger than I have in years.  I followed the eating plan that came with the workout program: real food and realistic portions.

How about your biggest challenge?

Continuing to work out each day and stay motivated.  I have done three different programs over the past year, but I have found that I need a lot of cardio to lose inches and keep them off.  So far, this program gets the job done for me.

What keeps you motivated?

Not wanting to go backward with my fitness.  I want to be fitter and stronger at 60 than when I was in my thirties.  I still have a little time remaining to accomplish my goal!!

“When you feel like quitting, think about why you started.”
