Executive Vice President of Finance & Administration
Mr. Battista is Executive Vice President of Finance and Administration for Ashforth and a member of its Executive Committee, which is responsible for overall company strategic planning.
He joined the Company in November, 1993 and is actively involved in new company initiatives, real estate acquisitions, and other investments. He is also responsible for overseeing day-to-day administration, human resources, information technology and the ﬁnancial reporting, procedures, and controls of the Company.
Prior to joining Ashforth, Mr. Battista was Vice President of Fosterlane Management Corporation, a privately held company in New York City that managed a multi-billion dollar commercial real estate portfolio comprised of ofﬁce, retail, hotel and industrial properties for a major foreign institutional investor. His responsibilities included structuring and negotiating joint venture/partnerships developments, acquisitions, dispositions, debt ﬁnancings, developing and implementing capital, marketing and leasing strategies, and overall asset management activities.
Mr. Battista is a member of the Real Estate Finance Association (REFA) Fairﬁeld/Westchester Chapter and is past Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Literacy Volunteers of America – Stamford/Greenwich.
He started his career in 1981 as a Certiﬁed Public Accountant with Arthur Andersen & Company. He is a graduate of Iona College and holds a J.D. from Fordham Law School.
