Mr. Ashforth is Co-Chief Executive Officer and a Principal of The Ashforth Company. He is jointly responsible for the overall operation of the Company, including its ownership and development activities, and its divisions, A.P. Construction Company and Albert B. Ashforth, Inc. – Management Services. He is also Co-Chairman of Ashforth Paradigm Capital Advisors and serves on the Board of Directors of Building Engines, Inc.
In addition to his role as Co-Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Ashforth is CEO and President of A.P. Construction Company. He is responsible for the overall operation, including long-term goals and direction. Mr. Ashforth has worked with an extensive number of Connecticut and New York businesses, including Fortune 500 companies. Since becoming the head of A.P. Construction in 1990, the Company’s annual revenues have grown from $10 million a year to over $100 million per year, and the Company has performed over $500 million in school and education projects, over $100 million in the healthcare industry, over $200 million in complex trading floors and financial projects, and over $490 million in corporate interiors over that period of time.
A longtime resident of New Canaan, Mr. Ashforth is a member of the World Presidents Organization and a board member of the Round Hill Club. He is past-President of the New Canaan Sports Council and New Canaan Day Care Center, past-Vice President of New Canaan Youth Soccer, and spent ten years as Assistant Coach of the New Canaan High School Men’s Hockey Team.
Mr. Ashforth graduated from Deerfield Academy and received his B.A. from the University of Vermont with a major in English and a minor in Art (Architecture and 3D Design).
